System GC for Refrigerants
The use of new refrigerants with the highest cooling efficacy while presenting the lowest environmental impact is increasing to protect the atmosphere. Hydrofluorocarbons have been traditionally used as refrigerants in the refrigerator industry due to their high efficacy as a coolant and low impact on stratospheric ozone. However, the high environmental impact as greenhouse gases has caused these compounds to be replaced by hydrocarbons. This analysis is based upon the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) Standard 700. Shimadzu offers a System GC compliant with AHRI Standard 700. The GC-2014 system is also available for some applications.
