The GCMS-QP2020 NX offers the best performance in its class with Boosted Efficiency Ion Source (BEIS) compatibility taking detection limits lower than ever.

Its advanced ion source and ion optics boost ionization and transport efficiency of ions from the source through the mass analyzer to the detector. With Smart-CI source, you can easily switch between electron ionization (EI) and chemical ionization (CI) methods.

Robust vacuum system improves performance with alternative carrier gasses like Hydrogen and Nitrogen, lowering operating costs without sacrificing sensitivity.

    The ion source of the GCMS-QP2020 NX offers high sensitivity and long-term stability because the filament and the ion source box are separated, preventing active spots inside the ion source. This configuration reduces the filament’s impact on the interior of the ion source. A shield blocks the radiant heat from the filament, ensuring a uniform temperature inside the ion source box.

    Additionally, the Advanced Scanning Speed Protocol (ASSP™) minimizes sensitivity deterioration during high-speed scans of 10,000 u/sec or faster.

    The Smart EI/CI ion source lets you acquire CI data without switching the ion source, keeping the EI sensitivity intact. If identifying compounds with the EI mode using the mass spectral library is difficult, you can obtain molecular weight information from CI data to help estimate unknown compounds. Plus, Quick-CI can collect data consecutively in both EI and CI modes.

    The GCMS-QP2020 NX offers a wide variety of system configurations and sample-introduction devices for an expanded range of applications.

The instrument’s ultra-high sensitivity means you can use smaller injection volumes, which helps extend the life of inserts, columns and other consumables — saving you both time and money on maintenance.

    And, with the ClickTek™ mechanism, you can easily attach and remove consumables—no tools needed. Just slide the ClickTek lever to open or close the injection port.
