Crystals, etc., that cannot be removed may appear.</strong> <h3>Procedures</h3><ol> <li>Pull the suction filter (A) from the suction tubing (B).</li> <li>Place the suction filter into a clean container with 2-propanol, and clean it for 5 minutes using an ultrasonic bath.</li> <li>Insert the suction tubing (A) into the suction filter (B).</li> <li>Replace the solvent in reservoir bottle A with water, and place the suction tubing back into the bottle.</li> <li>Press [Purge] on the main analysis screen. The [Auto Purge] screen is displayed.</li> <li>Select [1st] only, and set [A] to [10 min].</li> <li>Press [Start]. Purging starts.</li> <li>Check for air bubbles inside the suction tubing. Replace the suction filter if air bubbles are present.</li> <li>Record the replacement history in the maintenance log.</li> </ol> <h3>Related Notes</h3>When using a buffer solution, replace it with distilled water or purified water, and after pumping at least 20 mL into the instrument, replace it with new 2-propanol. <div class="container"><h1 class="title">Inspecting and Replacing the Low Pressure Valve Rotor and Low Pressure Valve Stator - LC-2040 </h1> <div class="center"><iframe width="800" height="450" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/S1UiaVruYnM?rel=0" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe></div> <h3>Procedures</h3><ol> <li>Press [LPV Rotor] or [LPV Stator] on the [Replacement Parts Selection] screen</li> <li>Lower the rinse solution bottle (B) so that the liquid surface (a) is lower than the low-pressure valve (A).</li> <li>Open the valve mount door.</li> <li>Loosen the 6 male nuts of the housing (A) and the 2 male nuts of the top and bottom of measurement pump head (B), using a wrench (6 mm width, 8 mm width) to remove the flow line tubing.</li> <li>Use an M4 Allen wrench to remove the 3 hexagon socket screws (A).</li> <li>Remove the low-pressure valve stator ASSY (A) and ring (B), taking care not to drop the ring (B). Place down with the ring side up.</li> <li>Hold the edge (a) of the low-pressure valve rotor (A) and remove the rotor.</li> <li>Check for scratches on the rotating and sliding surfaces (a and b) of the low-pressure valve rotor (A) and the low-pressure valve stator (B).</li> <li>If a scratch is found through visual inspection, replace with a new low-pressure valve rotor and low-pressure valve stator.</li> <li>Disassemble the low-pressure valve stator ASSY into the low-pressure valve stator (A), gasket (B), and housing (C).</li> <li>Immerse the low-pressure valve rotor (A), low-pressure valve stator (B), gasket (C), and housing (D) into a beaker filled with 2- propanol. and clean for 5 minutes in an ultrasonic bath.</li> <li>Holding the edge of the low- pressure valve rotor (A), align the notch (a) of the low-pressure valve rotor (A) with the alignment mark (b) of the shaft (B) and insert horizontally to fit them together.</li> <li>To assemble the stator ASSY, fit the gasket (B) and the low-pressure valve stator (C) to the housing (A) in that order, then fit the ring (D).</li> <li>Face the ring side upward, hold the low-pressure valve stator ASSY (A) and the ring (B), and insert into the main unit taking care not to drop the ring.</li> <li>Attach the 3 hexagon socket screws (A) to the housing (B), and use an M4 Allen wrench to gradually tighten each screw in turn.</li> <li>Reattach the flow line tubing of each low-pressure valve port and the flow line tubing of the top and bottom of measurement pump head to their original positions. Use a wrench (6 mm/8 mm) to tighten the 8 male nuts (A).</li> <li>Close the valve mount door.</li> <li>Press [Next]. The next screen is displayed.</li> <li>Select the replaced part and press [Next]. The replacement history is recorded in the maintenance log.</li> <li>Check that the usage value has reset, and then press [Exit].</li> </ol> <h3>Related Notes</h3><ul> <li>The [Low pressure valve rotor and stator replacement] screen can also be displayed by pressing [LPV Rotor] or [LPV Stator] on the replacement parts tab in the [Maintenance] screen.</li> <li>The stop plug (C) on the port 3 is not removed.</li> <li>The low-pressure valve stator is divided into the ring and the low-pressure valve stator ASSY. Remove the ring and housing slowly because the lowpressure valve stator and gasket may drop from the lowpressure valve stator ASSY.</li> <li>Any scratches can cause wear and tear in a short period of time.</li> <li>As much as possible, touch only the very edge of the lowpressure valve rotor, and after fitting, use wiping paper moistened with 2-propanol to wipe the sliding surface that contacts the low-pressure valve stator.</li> <li>Tighten the 3 hexagon socket screws alternately 90 degrees each, using the longer side of the M4 Allen wrench as a handle to firmly tighten them at the end. (Loosen each screw a total of 180°).</li> <li>Once again, repeatedly tighten each screw 60° in the order of A, B, and C until completely tightened.</li> <li>Reattach the flow line tubing of each high-pressure valve port to its original position, and use a 6 mm wrench to tighten the 5 male nuts (A).</li> <li>Lightly move the Z mount (A) by hand, and check that the bottom of the Z mount does not interfere with the tubing (B) connected to the high-pressure valve.</li> <li>Attach the front panel.</li> <li>Press (Power button) to turn ON. After the instrument starts, input the login pass ID Number and press [OK] to display the [High pressure valve rotor and stator replacement] screen.</li> <li>Select the replaced part and press [Next].Press OK to verify that the usage value should be reset. The next screen is displayed and the usage value is reset.</li> <li>The replacement history is recorded in the maintenance log.</li> <li>Check that the usage value is reset and then press [Next]. The next screen is displayed.</li> <li>Press [Start]. The [Low pressure valve rotor and stator replacement] screen is displayed.</li> <li>Lower the rinse solution bottle (B) so that the liquid surface (a) is lower than the low-pressure valve (A).</li> <li>Open the valve mount door.</li> <li>Use a 6 mm wrench to loosen the 5 male nuts (A) on the housing and remove the flow line tubing.</li> <li>Use an M4 Allen wrench to remove the 3 hexagon socket screws (A).</li> <li>Remove the low-pressure valve stator ASSY (A) and ring (B), taking care not to drop the ring (B). Place down with the ring side up.</li> <li>Hold the edge (a) of the low pressure valve rotor (A) and remove the rotor.</li> <li>Check for scratches on the rotating and sliding surfaces (a and b) of the low-pressure valve rotor (A) and the low-pressure valve stator (B).</li> <li>If a scratch is found through visual inspection, replace with a new low-pressure valve rotor and low-pressure valve stator.</li> <li>Disassemble the low-pressure valve stator ASSY into the low pressure valve stator (A), gasket (B), and housing (C).</li> <li>Immerse the low-pressure valve rotor (A), low-pressure valve stator (B), gasket (C), and housing (D) into a beaker filled with 2-propanol and clean for 5 minutes in an ultrasonic bath.</li> <li>Holding the edge of the low pressure valve rotor (A), align the notch (a) of the low-pressure valve rotor (A) with the alignment mark (b) of the shaft (B) and insert horizontally to fit them together.</li> <li>To assemble the stator ASSY, fit the gasket (B) and the low pressure valve stator (C) to the housing (A) in that order, then fit the ring (D).</li> <li>Face the ring side upward, hold the low-pressure valve stator ASSY (A) and the ring (B), and insert into the main unit taking care not to drop the ring.</li> <li>Attach the 3 hexagon socket screws (A) to the housing (B), and use an M4 Allen wrench to gradually tighten each screw in turn.</li> <li>Reattach the flow line tubing of each low-pressure valve port to their original positions, and use a 6 mm wrench to tighten the 5 male nuts (A).</li> <li>Close the valve mount door. Press [Next]. The next screen is displayed.</li> <li>Select the replaced part and press [Next]. The replacement history is recorded in the maintenance log.</li> <li>Check that the usage value is reset and then press [Exit].</li> </ol> <h3>Related Notes</h3><ul> <li>The [Low pressure valve rotor and stator replacement] screen can also be displayed by pressing [LPV Rotor] or [LPV Stator] on the replacement parts tab in the [Maintenance] screen.</li> <li>The low-pressure valve stator is divided into the ring and the low-pressure valve stator ASSY. Remove the ring and housing slowly because the lowpressure valve stator and gasket may drop from the lowpressure valve stator ASSY. Any scratches can cause wear and tear in a short period of time.</li> <li>As much as possible, touch only the very edge of the lowpressure valve rotor, and after fitting, use wiping paper moistened with 2-propanol to wipe the sliding surface that contacts the lowpressure valve stator.</li> <li>Tighten the 3 hexagon socket screws alternately 60° each, using the longer side of the M4 Allen wrench as a handle to firmly tighten them at the end. The measuring pump plunger moves all the way back, and the [Measuring pump plunger seal] screen is displayed.</li> <li>Open the valve mount door.</li> <li>Use a 6 mm and an 8 mm wrench to loosen the 3 male nuts (A).</li> <li>Remove the flow line tubing from the top and bottom of the pump head and from port 1 of the low pressure valve.</li> <li>Use an M4 Allen wrench to remove the 2 hexagon socket screws (B) located on the pump head (A).</li> <li>Keep the pump head (A) level and slowly pull it away from the seal holder (B).</li> <li>Keep the seal holder (A) level and slowly pull it away from the plunger (B).</li> <li>Vertically insert the end of the seal tool (A) with a stepped side (a) into the plunger seal (B).</li> <li>Pull out the seal tool (A) vertically to remove the plunger seal (B) from the seal holder (C).</li> <li>If the inside (a) of the pump head or the fitting section (b) of the plunger seal is dirty, use wiping paper moistened with 2-propanol to wipe clean.</li> <li>Place a new plunger seal (B) on the seal holder (C).</li> <li> Vertically insert the non-stepped end (a) of the seal tool (A) into the plunger seal (B), and push down until it is level.</li> <li>Pull out the seal tool (A) vertically.</li> <li>Slowly push the seal holder (B) with the alignment mark (a) facing up onto the plunger (A).</li> <li>Then, carefully push the pump head (C) onto the seal holder horizontally.</li> <li>Attach the 2 hexagon socket screws (B) to the pump head (A), and tighten with an M4 Allen wrench.</li> <li>Reattach the tubing on the top and bottom of the pump head and the tubing to port 1 of the low-pressure valve to the original positions, and fix them using a 6 mm and 8 mm wrench.</li> <li>Close the valve mount door.</li> <li>Press [Next]. The next screen is displayed.
