HPLC Modular System Controllers
CBM-20A or CBM-20Alite

An HPLC system controller for connecting to LC workstations through ethernet

The Shimadzu CBM-20A/CBM-20Alite system controller acts as an interface for connecting instrumentation to LC workstations or network-client computers. One CBM is a necessary component to complete a modular system. The CBM also offers the first web based browser which allows for additional management and system efficiency.

CBM-20A

CBM-20A Controller

A stand-alone system controller designed for maximum flexibility. Up to twelve LC modules and two channels of analog data can be connected for acquisition.

CBM-20Alite

CBM-20Alite Controller

The internal space-saving CBM-20Alite can be installed inside Prominence and Nexera pumps or autosamplers, and controls up to five LC components including the host module.

Benefits

Easy Installation

The CBM module connects via Ethernet to a laboratory computer for software or web-browser control of the LC components.
Integrated Web-Control Functions

The CBM is equipped with a web interface, which allows system control, monitoring and maintenance information to be accessed from Internet Explorer without installing additional software. It offers added security with multi-level user access options, and provides a flexible analytical environment.
From the web interface, you can:
  • Monitor and adjust maintenance intervals
  • Perform baseline check or system equilibration
  • Real-time monitoring of current analysis only
  • Check hardware performance and save time by reducing visits to the laboratory

Fully automated analysis

System startup, baseline-check functions, and auto-purge functions allows for fully automated analysis with a modular HPLC system.
  • System Startup - Program a startup method to initialize the system and start data acquisition.
  • Baseline-check - An automatic check of the baseline before data acquisition
  • Auto-Purge - All pumps and autosamplers can be purged on command or automatically, without user intervention to open or close the drain valve.
Monitor device status at a glance

With this function, the operating status of networked devices can be checked at a glance. You can monitor:
  • System Activity
  • Status of individual units
  • Existence of errors
  • Device maintenance information
Memo system

A memo function allows users to post messages regarding the status of components or to allow users sharing the system to leave messages for each other.
